Hey, history researchers, have you thought about investigating these sources?

• Bibliographies (books/articles). Look for both primary and secondary sources about your subject.

• Children’s books/videos. These are especially helpful for complicated issues. I once found a book about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and finally understood it.

• Wikipedia. The reference lists are especially helpful.

• National Archives Catalog https://www.archives.gov. Fantastic source when writing about American military history. Items include veterans’ service records (I found both my father’s and brother’s records), oodles of educator resources, and many important America’s founding documents.

• Many famous people have their entire collection of papers online. In some instances, they include not only their letters written but responses as well. A trove!
